FAQS

If I miss a session do I still have to complete the assignment?

Yes.

The assignments form part of the learning process and the Certificate of Completion requires completion of all six assignments to achieved standard. You can attend the modules only, without completing the assignments and will still benefit from what you have learnt, but if you wish to complete it fully, all 6 assignments must be submitted.

2. If an assignment is referred does that mean I have to re-do it?

Yes, if you wish to receive the Certificate of Completion.

In my survey feedback I can’t see question 1. Is this correct?

Yes

Q1 asks the person completing the survey for their name and working relationship to you (i.e. Supervisor, Manager, Peer.) This is removed when providing the survey results to you, to anonymise them.

Can I attend another day if I am away/sick for one of the modules?

No.

Before each module you are emailed the delegate pack containing the course materials and the assignment for that module. If you miss a session we recommend you read through the materials, look things up on the internet and discuss with any of their colleagues who are on the course and attended the module anything they are unsure of, and make an attempt at the assignment and then discuss any further queries with the tutor at the next module. Our tutors are always happy to help with further explanation and discussion.

If I miss too many sessions, will I not receive the ILM certificate?

No

Certificate of Completion requires adequate attendance to ensure you have understood the principles of the training, and completion of all six assignments to achieved standard.

Can I join remotely

Our programmes are run in-person and not remotely. The experience of learning together is an important part of the process, especially as our courses are oriented to human factor skills rather than technical learning.

Do I have to do the assignments?

No.

If you do not wish to receive the Certificate of Completion, you do not need to submit any assignments. You will still benefit greatly from the teaching and learning from each session.
