The Learning Company is a trading name of The Leaders Company Limited, a Guernsey registered company (57993).
The company provides training services. You can contact us by email or telephone as noted in our contacts section.
We are committed to safeguarding and preserving the privacy of our customers and adhering to The Data Protection (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2017 and the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679. This Privacy Policy explains what happens to any personal data that you provide to us, or that we collect from you while you visit our website.
Information we collect and use
The Leaders Company collects information when you use our website, when we provide training courses to you and your organisation and when we provide specialist consultancy support to you or the organisation you work for.
We do not obtain information about you from third parties without your knowledge.
This information can be provided to us via our website, eg via our contact forms, direct email, internet communication methods (e.g. WhatsApp), in person, via the telephone, text and via assessment sites.
We may collect data relating to:
Your name, address, email address, telephone numbers and other contact information.
Your date of birth, only when required by ILM for ILM recognised courses.
Your dietary requirements and additional needs.
Details of payments you make to us
Your billing requirements (to pay your invoices)
Information about how you use our services, including training courses.
Human data (e.g. personality type) including from psychometric assessments that you have completed.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
1) Fulfil your needs and requirements, including:
Administration of a training course, including providing information to ILM for ILM recognised courses and providing an inclusive training environment.
Provision of coaching, training and consultancy services
Subscribing to our newsletters
Responding to your queries
Paying your invoices.
We will not automatically subscribe you to our marketing database. We will not provide your information to a third party unless required as part of the service we are providing to you, e.g. for awarding certification when completing a training programme. Where we provide data to a third party, this will be made clear to you before you provide us with the information that will be shared.
When providing us with information via psychometric and other human data surveys as part of a course or an employer-sponsored exercise, some or all of your information may be provided to your employer and subject to their policies.
We engage consultant trainers and may share your relevant information with them to enable them to provide the contracted training. Our consultant agree to The Learning Company Limited privacy policy when providing services to The Learning Company.
2) For the operation of our business, including:
paying bills
arranging invoices and payments
producing our financial accounts and financial statements
corporate governance, e.g. in our board reports
IT administration, internal communication, internal training.
Who do we share your data with?
We do not share your personal data routinely, however the following people may have limited access to your personal data from time to time:
ILM for ILM recognised courses;
Our outsourced IT provider;
Our outsourced accounting and tax advisors;
Your employer, where your employer has arranged your training.
Our website development team.
Transparency
You can ask us anytime what information we are holding so that you can choose how it is used, ensure that the information is up to date or deleted if no longer relevant. You can unsubscribe from our marketing database at any point or contact us to be unsubscribed from our database during normal working hours.
Security
We take the security of your personal data very seriously. We take appropriate organisational and technical measures to prevent unauthorised access to your information.
Website specific information
When you use our website, we use non-personal identification information (“cookies”) whenever you interact with our Site. The cookie contains an encrypted session ID required for the functioning of the Site. We do not use any other form of cookies.

Right of access to your personal information (i.e. "subject access request"). This enables you to receive a copy of the personal information The Learning Company holds about you.
Right to object to processing of your personal data: i.e. where we are relying on a legitimate interest (or those of a third party) and there is something about your particular situation which makes you want to object to processing on this ground. You also have the right to object where we are processing your personal data for direct marketing purposes or if data were being processed on grounds of public interest or for historical or scientific purposes.
Right to rectification of the personal data: This enables you to have any incomplete or inaccurate personal data we hold about you corrected.
Right to erasure of your personal data: This enables you to ask us to delete or remove personal data where there is no good reason for us continuing to process it.
Right to restriction of processing of your personal data: This enables you to ask us to suspend the processing of personal data about you, for example if you want us to establish its accuracy or the reason for processing it.
Right to be notified of rectification, erasure and restrictions.
Right not to be subject to decisions based on automated processing.
